Incontinence

Incontinence is any leakage of urine or stool. Some leak urine with strong forces like coughing, sneezing, laughing, running, jumping, lifting (this is called stress incontinence, referring to the physical stressor that causes excessive pressure to the bladder). Some leak when an urge to void arises (called urge incontinence). And some don’t know leakage is occurring, (called unaware incontinence). Fortunately, there is great potential to completely resolve this condition, often by re-coordinating the pelvic muscles with breath, with movement, and by changing the nervous system response. Sometimes there are small obstacles, like scar tissue or the bladder position is not optimal within the pelvic cavity, but don’t worry, we can change that, too.
